Brush Clearing & Removal
Cutting, clearing, and haul-off of dense underbrush, briars, saplings, and overgrowth from residential and commercial lots.

Brush removal and land clearing for residential and commercial properties. From overgrown backyards to full acreage prep, APPEX clears your land safely, selectively, and ready for whatever comes next.
In North Texas, unchecked brush doesn't just sit there — it spreads. Cedar, mesquite, briars, and invasive species take over fast, and what starts as "a little overgrowth" becomes a costly clearing project.
Fire Hazard: Dry cedar (Ashe juniper) and accumulated brush are highly flammable a serious risk for rural homes, barns, and livestock facilities during Texas summers.
Pest & Snake Habitat: Dense thickets harbor snakes, rodents, feral hogs, and ticks — right where your kids, pets, and livestock move through.
Invasive Spread: Juniper, mesquite, and Bradford Pear seedlings multiply every season. The longer you wait, the more expensive the clearing becomes.
Lost Usable Land: Every overgrown acre is land you can't build on, graze on, fence, hunt, or enjoy.
Blocked Projects: One wrong pass with a mower or trimmer over a hidden stump means broken blades and expensive repairs.
"Clear land is usable land. Let's put your property back to work."

APPEX handles everything from a single overgrown backyard to multi-acre commercial sites — with brush clearing and forestry mulching matched to your project's scope.

On-site mulching of brush and small trees into a natural ground cover that suppresses regrowth, reduces erosion, and returns nutrients to the soil.
Clearing and prep for new home builds, barndominiums, shops, septic systems, and agricultural improvements.
Clean, straight cuts along property lines and fence paths so fencing crews can work fast and surveys stay visible.
Targeted removal of cedar (Ashe juniper), mesquite, and Bradford Pear thickets — while preserving your healthy, desirable trees.
Right-of-way clearing, common-area cleanup, park prep, and pre-development site clearing with photo documentation for your records.

For smaller brush jobs, upload photos for a fast preliminary quote. For acreage and commercial sites, we walk the property with you, mark boundaries, and identify trees to preserve.
You receive a clear, written scope: what gets cleared, what gets preserved, how debris will be handled (mulched on-site or hauled), and the equipment matched to your terrain and scope.
Our crew clears efficiently while protecting the trees, structures, and improvements you want kept. Brush is mulched into natural ground cover or piled and hauled your choice.
We complete a finishing pass, rake or spread mulch evenly, and leave the site clean, accessible, and ready for fencing, construction, sod, or livestock.
From compact machines for tight residential lots to heavy equipment mobilized for full acreage clears, we match machinery to your project — never overkill, never underpowered.
We clear what needs to go and protect what should stay. Your healthy oaks, pecans, and improvements are marked and preserved.
Team manages your project from first walk-through to final handover. No dispatch roulette, no unanswered calls.
Mulch spread evenly or debris fully hauled off. Your site is left usable not just cut.
Land Clearing Facts
Invasive and fast-seeding species such as Callery pear, juniper and mesquite fill open ground quickly, so clearing gets harder the longer it waits. APPEX clears brush, mulches and preps lots across the 12 North Texas communities we serve. These sources explain what you are clearing and how to protect the trees you keep.
According to TexasInvasives.org, once Callery pear is established it forms dense thickets that push out other plants, including native species. Because it is widely used in landscaping, it is found throughout Texas. Clearing seedlings early costs far less than removing a mature thicket.
Texas Parks and Wildlife, which maps 10 ecoregions statewide, describes Cross Timbers soils as primarily sandy to loamy. Blackland Prairie soils are dark alkaline clays called "black gumbo," with 28 to 40 inches of rain a year. Clay sites need equipment chosen to avoid rutting when the ground is wet.

According to the ISA, construction, grade changes and soil compaction are common causes of root loss, decay and weak limbs, and tree protection during construction is one of 7 additional services the ISA says arborists provide. Marking keeper trees and keeping heavy equipment out from under their canopy helps them survive the project.

Forestry mulching leaves a layer of chips on the soil. The ISA recommends mulch at 2–4 inches deep. Proper mulch reduces moisture loss, controls weeds and insulates roots from extreme summer and winter temperatures.

FAQ
Brush clearing cuts and removes vegetation (often with haul-off). Forestry mulching grinds brush and small trees on-site into a natural mulch layer that suppresses regrowth and protects soil. We'll recommend the best method — or a combination — during your site walk.
Your choice. Brush can be mulched into natural ground cover or piled and hauled off. Your written clearing scope spells out how debris will be handled before any work starts.
Yes. Our lot and site preparation covers clearing and prep for new home builds, barndominiums, shops, septic systems, and agricultural improvements, plus pre-construction lot clearing and staging-area prep.
No. We clear selectively: your healthy oaks, pecans, and improvements are marked and preserved. Forestry mulching leaves a natural ground cover that suppresses regrowth, reduces erosion, and returns nutrients to the soil.
Every job gets a clear, written scope before work begins: what gets cleared, what gets preserved, how debris is handled, and the equipment matched to your terrain. For smaller brush jobs, upload photos for a fast preliminary quote; for acreage and commercial sites, we walk the property with you.
Yes. We make clean, straight cuts along property lines and fence paths so fencing crews can work fast and surveys stay visible.
Yes. We handle pre-construction and subdivision site clearing, HOA common areas, greenbelts and detention ponds, and municipal park prep and right-of-way maintenance — with photo documentation for your records.
