Crane-Assisted Removal
For massive Live Oaks or trees with zero access, we utilize crane technology to lift heavy sections safely away from your home, ensuring zero impact on your landscape.

When a tree becomes a hazard, it requires precision, not just a chainsaw. Fully insured, technical tree removals for residential and commercial properties across the DFW Metroplex.
Trees are a beautiful asset to your North Texas property—until they aren't. When a tree dies, suffers root damage from construction, or becomes structurally compromised, it transforms from an asset into a severe liability.
With the unpredictable high winds, spring supercells, and occasional ice storms in the DFW area, a compromised tree can fail without warning, causing catastrophic damage to your roof, vehicles, power lines, or loved ones. At APPEX, our certified arborists assess the structural integrity of your tree to determine if removal is truly necessary for your safety.
Severe Leaning: The tree is suddenly leaning toward your home, fence, or power lines.
Trunk Cavities & Decay: Large holes, fungal growth (conks), or hollow trunks indicate structural weakness.
Dead Wood: Large, brittle branches with no leaves during the growing season.
Root Damage: Soil heaving or cracked pavement around the base of the tree.
Proximity to Structures: Roots are invading sewer lines, foundations, or the canopy is rubbing against your roof.

We don't just "cut down trees." We execute complex removal plans tailored to the unique layout of your property.

A tree should come down when it is dead, dying or an unacceptable risk, or when pruning cannot fix the problem. That is the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) standard, and it is the standard APPEX applies before recommending any removal in Fort Worth, Arlington or Burleson.
The ISA recommends hiring an arborist to remove a tree when it is: dead, dying or an unacceptable risk; causing an obstruction pruning cannot correct; crowding and harming more desirable trees; or standing where new construction requires removal.

ISA risk guidance points to 8 common defects. They are poor taper, cracks or soil heaving at the roots, codominant (split) trunks, cankers and wounds, longitudinal cracks, decay or fungal growth, dead branches, and damage from construction or poor pruning. Soil heaving is especially serious if the tree is leaning.

Bradford pear, a form of Callery pear, grows long branches that curve upward at narrow angles. Newer cultivars were bred specifically to reduce splitting in snow or high winds. TexasInvasives.org also lists Callery pear as invasive in Texas. Removal and replacement is often the safer long-term choice.
According to the ISA, a tree that can fall into a utility line is a very serious situation. It can cause outages, surges and fires as well as injuries. Never remove tree parts near power lines yourself. Call your electricity provider first, then a professional crew.
